Penelope Los Angeles Movie Premiere

What is true beauty? That's the question Reese Witherspoon’s latest flick “Penelope” tackles. The romantic comedy was produced by the Oscar winning actress in which she stars alongside Christina Ricci, James McAvoy and Catherine O’Hara.

In the film Christina Ricci takes a bold step in covering her pig like nose. Faced with the family curse, Penelope (Christina Ricci) must overcome all obstacles by finding true love. The warm and funny adventure leads her to realize the most important life lesson, “I like myself the way I am.”

In a day and age where there is so much emphasis on beauty, plastic surgery and the obsession of the celebrity culture, movies like 'Penelope' is a nice change of pace.

Hollyscoop was at the Los Angeles movie premiere where we caught up with the stars from the flick and got the scoop. The movie doesn’t hit theatres until February 29, 2008 but to learn more about the film log on to Hollyscoop Movies. In the meantime, check out our video coverage from the Hollywood movie premiere.

Christina Ricci Wants To Get Pregnant

Is there something in the water in Hollywood? We don't quite know when babies became a trend but it seems like every leading lady is desperate to get preggers.

Christina Ricci is hoping to jump on the baby band wagon soon with her very new boyfriend Kick Gurry.

She said, "I want to get married and have kids, maybe not next year, but before I'm 35. I think I would be a good mother, and entertaining. There's something about being young and having kids and not having all your shit together. Having a bit of appropriate confusion."

We've had enough of young stars not having their shit together but popping out babies like its going out of style. What happened to birth control?

Christina Ricci To Become Anorexia Counselor

Christina Ricci is looking to begin a new career. She's taking her personal battle with anorexia during her teen years and turning it into a positive.

She wants to become a counselor for girls who are struggling with eating disorders. Christina has even registered for a series of online classes to become certified.

A source close to the actress says, "Christina went through hell and back growing up. For years she struggled with her self-esteem, so she knows how hard it is for young girls."

The source added that Ricci hopes "to learn how she can help them get better without having to go through all the pain she did as a child."

This is such an amazing thing for Christina to do. She's been in the business for so long, and has come so far. We love that she's using her notoriety for a cause that's close to her heart.

Celebs Stand Up To Cancer

The stars are standing up to make a difference. Stand Up 2 Cancer, which is a movement to bring awareness to cancer, research, and finding cures.

Hollywood's biggest stars came together to raise money for research. ABC, NBC, and CBS set aside one hour on September 5th to simulcast a fundraiser. The hour featured performances and celebrity appearances.

Christina Ricci Is Engaged

Congrats to Christina Ricci, who accepted an engagement proposal from her boyfriend Owen Benjamin.

Ricci and Benjamin have been dating publicly since November and will appear in the upcoming movie, All's Faire in Love together later this year, reports Us Weekly.

Owen Benjamin isn't a household name yet, but if he looks familiar, it's because he film debut recently in The House Bunny starring alongside Anna Faris.

The couple held a small engagement party at the Palihouse in West Hollywood last Saturday night.

No news yet on when the wedding will take place, but they seem to be in a rush so don't be surprised if its sooner than later.
